Poker? I barely touched her.

And it's one, two, three, what are we fightin' for?

Me too.

Do you know of any good online private tables that don't take a huge rake? We could always play a public game, but we really can't play for money that way.

shuteye

I'm in.

We can get a private table at pokerroom.com, which is where I play online.

So this'll mean getting a NetTeller account I suppose. Evidently I couldn't cash out to a credit card whereas NetTeller I can collect my winnings at ATMs, which will mean I can just pop into a cybercafe and play for an hour whenever I need some extra money!!!

The_Spectre

I'll check out NetTeller. The ability to "cash out" would definitely be an advantage.

Anti-Deity

I'm out. I have a great poker face, but I'm horrible at the game.

Problem one, they only take VISA for credit cards. This means I must do the wire transfer thing I guess.

How much are we playing for?

Caffeine

Or we could just play with "free money" and paypay the winner the amount. We're all pretty trust-worthy people here. smile

I think betting anywhere between $5-$20 would be fine. I've got a feeling that more people would play if we keep it cheap. We can always decide that after we finalize the list.

Mapp

Paypal is no problem - so a guy should plan on winning say 1000 dollars in a 6 person game - maybe someone else besides me might win 200 and 4 people might lose an average of $300 apiece?

St.Ego

I'd just get taken advantage of...

Ok, so I added the list of players up at the top. So some things we still need to work out:

1) When? How's sunday evening work for everyone? We can have ten players max, but we have enough players now for a good game too.

2) What buy in amount? Does $20 sound reasonable?

3) Would paypaling the winner your buy-in after the game work for everyone?

4) When you lose to me, are you going to cry or take it like a man?

The_Spectre

1) That's a good time for me. It's the one evening I try to be home consistently.

2) Currency? CDN? US? 20's good either way

3) Sounds good. I just have to see if my PayPal account is still active (if in inactivates in the first place)

Mapp

Fine for me, I've already registered at the site -

I can easily stay up all night too if the pickings are as easy as I expect they'll be.

Goodbye, work life, hello pro-poker fun!!! I've been waiting for some youngsters who think that they're hot stuff to fleece.

Sunday nights are best for me. I'm going to do a little searching to see how to make a private table.

Sunday nights are fine. I do note if I'm not mistaken that we have three Canadians ready to go and two USA-ites. We must be more willing to take risks, in ratio I mean.

I know. I'll write a little flashcom based server program so that we can see each other and don't any of you worry about security, I'll take care of that, you can trust me. I'll provide a ssl certificate signed by myself so that everyone can be sure that everything is on the up and up.

Just in case anyone is interested, I'm up for hearts or bridge if the stakes are right (ie low).

Anyway, I have 40 dollars that says I'll own your cars and lives by Monday. Oh, the casinos in the US often take Canadian money at par, I assume this will be the case? We treat US and Canadian dollars the same? I think that is pretty standard policy everywhere.
