I'm 91st/200 people on our office hockey pool so far.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's only 2 weeks into the season and I only have 1 Leaf on my roster, so I should be ok.

Montreal can win till they play the Oilers. Who, I must say, are still undefeated at 4 and 0. I'm thinking the depth will carry us well this year. Habs look great. Toronto looks like it should. Dallas? What's up there? And what happened to Anaheim? Ouch.

Oilers rule, that is all.

And yes, for the record, I have finally gotten over the Smytty trade. It was a long difficult process, but I got there in the end.

4. Dallas really is looking awful. I can't wait till McIntyre beats one of them up.

Bertuzzi is one of the best passers in hockey, big but with soft hands. I don't get why you wouldn't just be all ga-ga for him. Calgary one of my top 5 favorite teams this year just because Bertuzzi plays there.

Other top 5 faves -

Penguins (I liked them before but now with Satan on their team - when will he be traded to the Devils and given #666 thus finally fulfilling his destiny?).

Blackhawks - my first favorite team when Hull and Mikita played there in the late 50's and 60s.

Canucks - of course but I really like the emergence of Alex Burrows this year - everything that Sean Avery could be if he had talent and was only half as mouthy.

Oilers - worth watching just to watch Sam Gagner.

I don't know what to think about the Canucks. Burrows and Kesler are awesome but I feel as if my life has been made less enjoyable for the next 15 years because of poor Luc Bourdon's death. Human tragedy aside, he was my pick to be the first real all-star defense man that the Canucks have ever had. Plus, I hate this "Roberto Luongo is the captain" stuff.

I remember a few years when Denis Savard was playing that they weren't too bad. In fact I still think that of all the players I've ever watched play that he might have been the most exciting of them all.
