It's a little strange. Whilst I would class myself as a fan, I suspect a LOT of 'fans' attitudes will be stretched when considering the commemorative tickets.
I had 2 tickets - they were good ones, too. To the original last ever show (before the reschedule of the first ones) On the floor. Block B row L. They cost £170.00.
Now I'm sorry, but I now have the choice of either £170.00 back in my wallet....or some shiney paper with a hologram on.
Erm......

That could feasibly be worth more than its face value in the years to come.
Personally, i'd take the refund though.

But it depends very much on how many people choose the ticket over the refund....OK it won't be 800,000 but only 1% would still be 8,000 which isn't really 'rare'.
Seems to me like a pretty cheap scam by the promoters to hang on to their ticket money.

I dunno dude, If it were me, I'd get the commemorative thingie and put 'em on ebay with a £170 reserve.
I think you'd be surprised at how much you'll make. It won't be a ton, mind you cuz there will be a lot of 'em on there, but you would certainly get more than they're worth I reckon.
It's too bad you didn't have shittier seats.

I would think the original tickets woulod be worth more than the reissued commemorative ones, no?

They don't issue 'original' tickets until closer to the event. I was not scheduled to go until Feb 2010.
I suspect people may have already had their correct event tickets issued and they WOULD be worth more.

Plus they don't have to pay Jacko's fees... even giving away $5 holograms to every person makes them more money than if he'd lived.
